Scheduled garden check-ups, lawn mowing, micro-nutrient additions, and specialized pruning schedules.

A garden’s condition is really the sum of dozens of small, recurring tasks done consistently over a year rather than any single big effort. An Annual Maintenance Contract exists to make sure those tasks actually happen on schedule — mowing, feeding, pruning, and seasonal check-ups — instead of depending on someone remembering to book each one separately as things start to look neglected.

What an AMC Typically Covers

Scheduled Garden Check-Ups

Regular visits catch small problems — a struggling plant, an irrigation head that’s stopped working, early signs of pest activity — while they’re still small and cheap to fix, rather than after they’ve turned into a bigger repair or a plant that has to be replaced.

Lawn Mowing

Consistent mowing height and frequency keep a lawn dense and healthy over time; irregular mowing, letting grass grow too long between cuts and then cutting it too short, stresses the lawn and tends to open the door for weeds to establish.

Micro-Nutrient Additions

Soil gradually loses nutrients through normal plant growth and rainfall runoff, so scheduled feeding — timed to the season and the specific needs of the lawn and beds — keeps plants properly supplied rather than waiting for visible deficiency symptoms to show up.

Specialized Pruning Schedules

Different plants have different ideal pruning windows — cutting at the wrong time of year can remove next season’s flowers or leave fresh cuts vulnerable to disease. A maintenance schedule tracks this per plant type instead of pruning everything on the same generic timeline.

Seasonal Adjustments

What a garden needs in spring is different from what it needs in peak summer heat or before winter dormancy, so the contract’s visit focus shifts through the year — more feeding and planting in spring, more watering management in summer, cleanup and protection heading into winter.

Why a Contract Works Better Than Ad-Hoc Visits

Booking maintenance one visit at a time tends to mean it only happens once something already looks wrong, which is usually more expensive to fix than it would have been to prevent. A standing contract keeps the schedule proactive instead of reactive, and it’s what actually determines whether a garden holds its condition year over year or slowly slides back toward needing another full renovation.

Our Process

1

Consultation & Site Visit

We walk the property with you, talk through how you use the space day to day, and note sun, drainage, and soil conditions that will shape the plan.

2

Concept & Layout

We sketch a layout that fits the site's realities and your style preferences, balancing planting beds, hardscape, and open space.

3

Detailed Plan

The concept becomes a full plan — plant selections, materials, and measurements — so there's a clear reference before any work starts on site.

4

Review & Handoff

We walk through the finished plan together, make any adjustments, and hand it off ready for installation.
